Last Blast

Schooling will start right after Labor Day so the children are soaking up their last bit of freedom.  One thing they are looking forward to is sitting on a couch during our read-alouds this year.  We haven't had a couch for almost two years and now we finally have one!  I predict that it will be the most sought after piece of furniture in this house for many weeks to come.
In other news, our youngest son has finally learned to ride his bike without training wheels--hooray!  Even big brother tried to help him get going without the training wheels.  He finally did it and even little sister was proud as she cheered him on from the sidelines.  Four days later, she asked big brother to help her "ride" her "big girl" bike too!

So sweet sitting in big brother's garden
Early every morning, if there is good weather and if Dad doesn't have to take an early train into The City, our boys ride their bikes with Dad to distribute door hangers with the Gospel message inside (if you don't know what this is, see the end of my very first post).  This morning they distributed their 2,000th door hanger!  And yesterday we received our 7th response card requesting a free Bible---the first Spanish Bible we have given out.
