These are my thoughts and our family adventures as we fulfill the Great Commission, homeschool, and work towards living debt-free. We seek to glorify God with our lives which Christ has purchased with His own blood on the cross (Acts 20:28). As new creatures in Christ, we are lilies in the valley of this world, lifting high the name of Jesus, the only One in Whom there is salvation and the only Name by which men must be saved (Acts 4:12).
We just took the whole family to see the Kendrick brothers' movie, "Courageous". I cannot speak highly enough about this movie. The gospel is front and center, the plot surprising at various points, the comedic moments clever, and the cinematography excellent. Great encouragement for dads to seek the Lord, lead their homes, love their wives as Christ loves the church, and instruct their children in the ways of the Lord.
My favorite scene? The Snake King. The Kendrick brothers outdid themselves with that one. My favorite quote was delivered by Adam at the end of the movie and it was something to the effect of, "Dads, don't fall asleep at the wheel only to wake up one day and realize that your career and hobbies have no eternal value but your children's souls do."
