Grandparents Near and Far

We were blessed to recently have Grandma, and Nana and Papa all visit with us on the same weekend.  Grandma arrived on a Thursday and departed Sunday morning.  Papa and Nana came for Little Big Brother's birthday celebration on Saturday and ended up staying overnight and attending church with us on Sunday.

It was Lil' Chunker's first time meeting Grandma.  It didn't take long for him to warm up to her!

On Grandma's first evening with us we all attended a Messianic Passover Seder which we've attended now for the past four years.  Seeing all the shadows of Christ in the Passover never ceases to amaze!  It reinforces the fact that God's one plan of salvation begins in Genesis and ends in Revelation.  It was a lovely Seder that began with the first part of the Messianic Passover Haggadah, a delicious three course dinner, and then the remainder of the Haggadah.  Biggest Brother received a golden dollar coin for "almost" finding the Afikoman (someone told him he'd found it but it turned out to be the wrong one), and Lil' Chunkers met a new friend.

On a chilly Saturday morning, Grandma went the extra mile (pun intended) and didn't just cheer for Tom on his 5K race--she did the race with him!  Ok, she walked it and he ran it but they both had a great time with Tom running faster than last year, landing him in the top 50 finishers.  Yeah!

Before Little Big Brother's party, Sissy Mom showed Grandma how she makes her finger-crocheted ponytail holders.

On Sunday, Grandma returned to Florida but Papa and Nana were still in town to attend church with us!  They enjoyed meeting our congregation and after the service we all went out to Texas Roadhouse for a wonderful Sunday dinner.  Lil' Chunkers (and everyone) had a great time with all the grandparents!
