Little Mama Turns Five!

For her five-year-old birthday celebration Little Mama chose a Rapunzel theme.  We decorated with all things Tangled (the Disney version of the classic Rapunzel story--actually a nice movie, considering it's Disney and all). 

Little Mama received a surprise Rapunzel dress and wig which she was excited to wear for the party.

and of course food.  Little Mama knew exactly what she wanted for her birthday meal as she requested salad, hot ham and swiss sandwiches (sorry we ate them all before I got a picture!), and zucchini cupcakes with caramel frosting weeks in advance!  Her wish was my command.

In attendance were Papa and Nana and not one but BOTH of my sisters--a rare thing these days!  Auntie Cheryl (left) lives nearby and is usually with us on birthdays but Auntie Sheila (right) lives several states away and we rarely get to see her so this was a special visit for a special occasion.

Auntie Sheila arrived in style and quite a few inches taller than we last remembered!

Of course it wouldn't be a birthday party if there weren't oodles of clothing from Nana (and Papa and Aunties, not to mention the cards and gifts in the mail from Aunties and Grandmas far away!)  

On this birthday it was oodles of dresses.  Little Mama loves dresses!  And what do you know?  There were a few things in Nana's bags for all the children!

Plus the cupcake dress from Grandma, sans the wig!

There were Birthday Speeches where it was noted what a great helper Little Mama has become, how observant she is, what a great board game playmate she is for her older brothers and what a great little mama she is to her little brother.

And then the zucchini cupcakes came out!

It was a wonderful time celebrating our precious youngest daughter.  We thank the Lord for every year He allows us to keep her, love her, teach her, raise her, and learn from her.  She is quite a personality and such a special girl to have!
