Happy Birthday #9!

Little Big Brother turned nine years old this spring!  Don't know how much longer he can be called "Little" Big Brother!

On the date of his birthday the children woke up to treat boxes on the breakfast table
and we ate the breakfast Little Big Brother requested for his special day: German Apple Pancakes! Everyone was happy about this one because although everyone LOVES my German Apple Pancakes, I rarely make them anymore due to the labor intensive recipe.  Making them was time consuming but eating them was oh, so delicious!

For dinner the birthday boy wanted to eat at Pizza Ranch, our family favorite pizza buffet.

Can you guess who was the theme for his weekend birthday party?

On hand we had Spidey to welcome the guests,

a cook to grill hamburgers and hotdogs per the birthday boy's request,
  grandparents galore,
and strawberry cupcakes!

After dinner and cupcakes the crown and cape came out-- along with some kingly drama!

There were birthday speeches
 and gifts!
Thanks to Nana, the birthday boy wasn't the only one who enjoyed gifts!

Saying goodbye to the grandparents

It was noted in his Birthday Speeches that Little Big Brother is very generous and thoughtful, often opening doors for the ladies or toasting an english muffin for his little sister.  He's a big time "thinker" who is very good at math and creative with Legos.  The older and stronger he gets, the more of a helper he is to Dad and Mom.

Little Big Brother has been a blessing to this family and we are grateful to the Lord to have had him these nine years!
