"The silver-haired head is a crown of glory, if it is found in the way of righteousness." --Proverbs 16:31
"You shall stand up before the gray head and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God: I am the Lord" Leviticus 19:32
Today is my father's birthday--he is "Pawpaw" to our children. Last weekend we drove downstate for the afternoon to take him out to lunch and celebrate his birthday. We came bearing a gift or two and prepared to give him some birthday speeches (find out what "birthday speeches" are
in this post). Each of us shared what we love about Papa and the children recited scriptures they had chosen and memorized for the occasion. Our oldest daughter recited Lamentations 3:22-23, our oldest son recited John 3:16 and John 14:6, and our two youngest both recited Ephesians 6:1. Here are some pictures from our lovely time.
