On July 16th, my mom and dad (Nana and Papa) celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary--yipee! We drove downstate to attend church with them and take them out to an anniversary lunch.
Here they are on their first anniversary...
...and on their 47th anniversary!
I had to get a picture of Papa and Lil' Chunkers together in their Sunday best!
After church Papa and Nana wanted to go out to Longhorn restaurant.
Little Mama took pictures of the light fixtures and my salad!
After lunch we returned to Papa and Nana's house where the children had a chance to look through their wedding album, an album I loved to look through as a child.
Little Mama was excited to show Papa and Nana her newest skill!
Little Mama also brought nail polish along to paint Nana's nails as an anniversary gift.
The boys found themselves a job in Papa and Nana's backyard--
a bush that needed trimming.
Last but not least, the children recited a poem about grandparents entitled, "God's Gift of Grandparents" and presented Papa and Nana with Sissy Mom's hand made anniversary card.
Before heading back home there was time for a happy group picture
and a silly one!
May the Lord bless Papa and Nana with many more anniversaries!
