Welcome to the family Miss Daisy. You'll be your new owner's primary commute car.
You're in good company.
Sort of. Don't panic if it looks like you've arrived in a Mercedes graveyard. Let me introduce you around.
This is Chick-a-Mercedes--so named by Little Big Brother when he was two years old. We purchased him when he was on death's door for a very small sum of money. He's had many adventures with your owner including having to be plugged in during a run to Whole Foods. He was experimented upon (our first diesel to run on vegetable oil) and stays hidden away in the garage. Chick-a-Mercedes taught your owner everything he knows about old Mercedes like you and may become a parts donor for you if needed.
Don't be fooled by the name. Superchick wasn't too super to begin with but did give several months of service to your owner before eventually succumbing to the long commute. He's been out of commission for awhile but your owner hasn't given up hope for him yet.
Next is The Wagon. Yep, just "The Wagon".
The Wagon was excellent before it was maimed by the commute. No worries, though. Your owner was able to patch him up and he'll be your understudy in the event that you are injured by the commute.
And then there's Sprinter.
Oh. I almost forgot The Truck. He's the odd one out but he's tough and comes in handy when we need to haul big and dirty items like refrigerators or mulch.
So Daisy, it looks like you're the only gal in the bunch. You just look like a Daisy to us and, well, there was that movie and all.
If you have trouble remembering everyone, see if it helps to think of it all as a Transformers movie:
The Truck = Ironhide
Sprinter = Optimus Prime
The Wagon = Jazz
Superchick = Megatron (yes, a Decepticon)
Chick-a-Mercedes = Sentinel Prime
And you, Miss Daisy, would be Bumblebee.
It looks like you've already received your initial checkup.
Happy trails!
UPDATE: After a few short weeks of service, Daisy had to be rushed to the space next to Superchick for a failing alternator. Fortunately this is the most common repair Tom has dealt with. All the cars except for The Truck have needed a new one. Daisy's new alternator is sitting in the dining room waiting for Tom to have an afternoon to replace it. Thankfully The Wagon was on standby and will continue to sub for Daisy until she gets her new alternator.
