This Fourth of July was two things: incredibly hot and an opportunity for evangelism.
Despite temps that reached 100 degrees, Tom, Sissy Mom and Biggest Brother went out with three other people to hand out tracts to the folks who were brave enough to come out to our local parade. Together they handed out 500 tracts in about forty minutes! Many hands do indeed make light work. While waiting for the parade to begin, those 500 people read the good news about the most important Independence Day--the day of salvation when they turn to Christ for forgiveness and freedom from something much more demanding than the king of England: sin, death, and the wrath of God.

When they returned from the parade, I had the perfect activity for cooling off--our annual summer snowball fight. At the end of each winter we pack up snowballs into Ziploc bags and store them in our deep freezer to bring out in summer time. There was no better time than a 100 degree day.

Can't imagine growing up in a home where it was a priority for my dad to share the gospel with others and to bring me along to share the experience, what a great gift that is to your children.

I can't imagine either and I pray the Lord will use it in their lives. As for summer snowballs, I'm not even sure how that got started but we look forward to it each year!
